Indian Railways to Launch Bullet Trains Soon.
It's obvious that Indian Railways under the leadership of Suresh Prabhu is doing very well. According to reports, we will be seeing bullet trains running on the railway tracks in India soon.
The first bullet train of E5 Shinkansen series will move from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and it will be a completely new experience for the passengers. The train will have facilities like changing rooms for babies with low sinks for hand washing, toilet seats specially designed for babies and tables for disposing diaper. There will also be separate wash rooms for men and women which will have triple mirrors for the purpose of make-up. The toilet system will have hot water running and washing closet seat with urinals and western style toilets. The distance between Mumbai and Ahmedabad is 508km and will be covered by the bullet train in 2 hours & 7 minutes.
According to a senior official, the bullet train program will cost about Rs 1 lakh crore. PM Modi government will give Rs. 5,000 crore for purchase of 25 piece of the E5 Shinkansen series bullet trains from Japan. The bullet trains will consist of 10 coaches and each coach will have the capacity of carrying 731 passengers. Two classes will be made available which is standard and business class.
